A Visit from International Division, University of Ballarat, Australia

On June 29th, Miss Tessa Mao, International Marketing-Regional Manager China, University of Ballarat (UB), Australia, with an inspection delegation, visited Weinan Teachers University (WNTU). Mr Wang Junlong, Vice president of WNTU and other Professors warmly welcomed the inspection delegation at the Guest Room of Houde Building. Mr. Wang introduced the history, staff and teaching of WNTU, and expected to enhance the mutual understanding with UB through a wide range of exchanges. Then Mr. Ren Jian, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, had a talk about students’ management and teaching research, etc. with the guests. Ms Zhao Aili, Deputy Director of Department of International Exchanges and Cooperation, proposed some ideas about two universities’ exchanges and cooperation. Ms Tessa Mao gave a brief introduction to UB and agreed on the educational cooperation, especially about inter-accreditation of credits, students’ exchanges during holidays, short-term teachers’ visit and so on. Later on, Ms Tessa Mao, Mr. Wang and the rest of the group visited our library, lab building and students dorms.

Brief Introduction of UB:
UB is one of the 38 state universities in Australia, established in 1870. It is the third oldest higher educational institution of Australia. UB has around 25,000 international and domestic students. 80% teaching staff hold Ph. D. The exceptional teaching and academic research has got international recognition.
