To the Units and Departments it may concern:
Five groups of forty-one college students have been to Thailand to work as Chinese language teaching assistants. The goal of the project, through the Chinese Association for International Exchanges, is to promote friendly Sino-Thai exchanges, encourage education of the Chinese language and culture, and create more opportunities for undergraduates to have cross-cultural experience. Thai teachers, students and the AFS Thai International Cultural Exchange Organization have expressed their appreciation for the work of these students. These volunteers have been friendly ambassadors of China to the people of Thailand. The project will continue this year. Weinan Teachers University is working to promote and encourage students to participate in this cross-cultural exchange opportunity.

Students wishing to participate need to send three copies of the official application form before 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. The application can be obtained from and returned to Ms Liu Jing, Houde Building, Room 3206, Weinan Teachers University. For more information, contact Ms Liu at 0913-213-3927.
